Guydrones is proud to have been among the key stakeholders invited to participate in a recent engagement hosted by the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), focused on advancing the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals Plus (NGAP+) Programme.
Held in Georgetown on April 21, 2026, the meeting brought together leading organizations across the aviation, education, and technology sectors to help shape the structure and strategic direction of this important national initiative. The NGAP+ Programme is designed to inspire and equip young Guyanese between the ages of 12 and 24 with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to pursue meaningful careers in aviation.
The session included valuable insights from Mr. Malcolm Evans of the UK International Air Cadet Training (i.ACT), who highlighted the programme’s long-term vision: developing a strong and sustainable pipeline of aviation professionals to support the growth of the industry in Guyana.

Guydrones joined a distinguished group of stakeholders, including representatives from the Art Williams and Harry Wendt Aeronautical Engineering School, the Civil Aviation Training School, the University of Guyana, the Guyana Digital School, the Guyana Defence Force, the Ministry of Education, the Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL), and the Aircraft Owners Association of Guyana. Together, these partners are working collaboratively to ensure the NGAP+ Programme delivers high-quality training and mentorship opportunities aligned with international standards.
The initiative, which stems from ICAO Resolution A39-29, addresses the global shortage of aviation professionals by preparing the next generation with both technical and practical competencies. A governing board is expected to be established to guide implementation and ensure the programme meets its objectives.
As a company committed to innovation, education, and the advancement of drone and aviation technology in Guyana, Guydrones is honored to contribute to this forward-thinking initiative. Our involvement reflects our dedication to supporting youth development and strengthening the future of aviation in the region.
Further details regarding application procedures and programme timelines are expected to be announced by the GCAA in the coming months.
Guydrones looks forward to continuing its collaboration with national and international partners to help shape the future of aviation in Guyana.
Stay tuned for more updates...
